What to Expect at Your First Appointment
We know choosing a pediatric dentist or orthodontist is a big decision. Your first visit is the perfect opportunity to ask questions, check out our practice and get a feel for our team. We even offer free consultations to potential orthodontic patients so they feel confident about moving forward with treatment. A Warm Welcome
You’ll receive a warm welcome as soon as you walk in. We keep wait times to a minimum but if you arrive early, feel free to relax and unwind in our comfortable reception area. If you’d like to get a head start, you can even fill out your forms prior to your first visit. Once you’re ready, we’ll show you and your child around our office and then take you back to our state-of-the-art treatment area.
Getting Started
If you’re here for an orthodontic consultation, we’ll take complimentary digital x-rays and photos of your smile. Dr. Kothari will examine you and use these diagnostic records to develop a diagnosis. If you’re here for a pediatric dental visit, a friendly team member will get you and your child acclimated and take low-dose, digital x-rays, only if necessary. Your child is free to bring a buddy, like a favorite toy, to the treatment room if they’re nervous. We always tell children what we’re going to do and demonstrate before actually getting to work to ease any jitters.
Meet With the Doc
Orthodontics patients will meet with Dr. Kothari. He’ll walk you through his findings, discuss your treatment options and answer your questions. Then, a team member will discuss things like the cost of treatment, your insurance coverage and our payment plans. Pediatric dental patients will chat with Dr. Kumar. She’ll do a quick but thorough exam of your child’s mouth, answer questions and give you advice on homecare. We might also wrap up the visit by doing a cleaning and fluoride treatment. Of course, your little one can raid our stash of prizes on the way out.
